Danny Dietrich continues winning ways in Sunday visit to BAPS Motor Speedway

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (April 15, 2024) – It was one spot short of a weekend sweep for “Double-D” Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing, commencing his three-race turned two-race weekend with a runner-up performance at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, April 13, followed by a victory at BAPS Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 14.

The win, Dietrich’s third of the season and first at the York Haven oval, was accomplished from row four, taking command from fellow Posse competitor Kyle Moody on lap 17 and never looking back. The triumph earned the Gettysburg native a $5,000 payday, simultaneously bumping his season’s top-five tally to an even dozen. Dietrich’s evening commenced with a heat race victory.

Adding to the stat column, Dietrich’s win chart now includes three tracks – Lincoln Speedway, Port Royal Speedway, and BAPS Motor Speedway.

As noted, Dietrich was one spot short of a Central Pennsylvania weekend sweep, ultimately losing Saturday’s Port Royal Speedway victory lane appearance to Devon Borden. An exciting finish, nonetheless, the pair battled wheel-to-wheel for the final few circuits with Dietrich pulling even with the Washington native down the backstretch on the white flag lap. Borden would eventually shut the door, maintaining the lead even when Dietrich attempted a final corner slider.

“Just a great weekend all around. We wanted that one bad at Port Royal, but we’ll take this and move forward. We’ll have plenty more chances to this season, and in some bigger race,” Dietrich, ace of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Cochrancars.com, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Self Made Racing, No. 48 sprint car, stated. “Hats off to this steam. Everyone plays such an important role and I wouldn’t be in this position without them. Hats off to the fans, too. They continue to show up week in and week out and we appreciate it more than they could ever understand.”

COMING UP NEXT:
Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with a full Central Pennsylvania slate on Friday through Sunday, April 19-21. The team will visit Williams Grove Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and Selinsgrove Speedway in respective fashion. Lincoln’s Weldon Sterner Memorial will award a $20,000 payday.
