GETTYSBURG, Pa. (October 28, 2024) – It was a wild weekend in Posse Country for “Double-D” Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing, not only accomplishing their 12th victory of the 2024 season and the 150th of Gary Kauffman’s career – a $10,000 victory to boot – but doing so in exciting fashion, outracing Brent Marks and Freddie Rahmer in a final lap skirmish. Dietrich, ace of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Derek Snyder & Self Made Racing, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, No. 48 sprinter, is now a three-time BAPS Motor Speedway winner in 2024, this one celebrating the life and accomplishments of Kevin Gobrecht.

As hinted, it was an exciting race to the checkers in Saturday’s 30-lapper at BAPS Motor Speedway, starting fifth before taking command over Brent Marks following a restart on lap 18. Not giving up so easily, Marks returned the favor just before the white flag was given, outracing Dietrich back to the starting line to complete lap 29. It was a final lap slider through turns one and two that sealed the deal for Dietrich, shutting the door on Marks as the pair raced down the backstretch.

“Just an incredible night for our team. Another total-team effort and I wouldn’t be in this position without them. And a huge congratulations to Gary Kauffman. That was his 150th win on Saturday and I’m pretty pumped we were able to do it in a pretty dramatic way,” Dietrich expressed. “We’re not done yet. We have a big one coming up Saturday at Bridgeport followed by some additional starts to close out the year. We’ve got 12 on the year right now…no reason why we can’t get a baker’s dozen.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with Bridgeport Motorsports Park’s Dirty Jersey Finale on Friday and Saturday, November 1-2. Saturday’s sprint car main event will award $10,000.
