GETTYSBURG, Pa. (October 30, 2023) – Although one spot short of attaining a $15,000 payday, “Double-D” Danny Dietrich’s performance in Bridgeport’s SprintOberfest finale on Saturday, October 28, was one to remember, nearly earning the edge over eventual winner, Kyle Reinhardt. Dietrich, who started seventh on the 40-lap blockbuster, drove to the tailtank of Reinhardt with two to go, but a bold move by the Neptune City, New Jersey, native forced a lapper between himself and Dietrich which ultimately sealed the deal.

The runner-up result was Dietrich’s second in just as many attempts, finishing in the identical spot one weekend prior at BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven, Pennsylvania.

Although Bridgeport Motorsports Park in Swedesboro, New Jersey, is not a regular destination for competitors in Posse Country, Dietrich visited the facility twice in October alone, activating the month with a sixth-place performance during High Limit Sprint Car Series action on Tuesday, October 3.

“One spot short again, but we’ve been in the hunt and that’s just as important,” Dietrich, ace of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, #1 Cochran Expressway, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Self Made Racing, No. 48 sprint car, said. “We have one start left on our schedule. Our goal is to go out with a win. We were close at BAPS last weekend, so I think we’re capable of earning one spot more.”
