Dietrich rules headlines in Pennsylvania; The Grove, Lincoln, Selinsgrove all ahead

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (May 29, 2024) – It was a weekend to remember for Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing, not only opening competition with a $10,039 triumph at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, May 24, but ultimately trumping that accomplishment two nights later at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace,” racing on to secure the Bob Weikert Memorial title for a $76,500 share.

The High Limit Racing program featured some of the best open wheel competitors in the country, but it was Dietrich’s time to shine, holding off late race challenges by “Sunshine” Tyler Courtney, and St. Helena, California’s Rico Abreu, for the highest payday of his career.

Capitalizing on slower traffic, Dietrich took his Weikert Livestock No. 29 to the lead on Lap 30. A pair of late race cautions would make things interesting, but “Double-D” held strong.

Dietrich started third on the 40-lap grid.

“I’m not sure it actually even sunk in completely yet,” Dietrich, pilot of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Derek Snyder & Self Made Racing, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Racer’s New & Used Parts Warehouse, No. 29 sprint car, stated. “So much to say and so many people to thank. The month prior to these wins were kinda filled with some ups and downs, mostly downs, but my guys never gave up. The drive and the ambition to do better stayed with us and it obviously paid off. We have a lot of racing left on our schedule. We’re going to celebrate this one for a while, but we still have work to do. We’ll do whatever we can to keep this momentum going heading into our busy summer schedule.”

“Double-D” technically concluded his holiday weekend on Tuesday evening at Grandview Speedway, rejoining High Limit Racing for a Midweek Money Series program worth $20,000-to-win. The Gettysburg native rolled off 15th and completed the 35-lapper two positions better.

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing plan to visit Williams Grove Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and Selinsgrove Speedway in consecutive fashion on Friday through Sunday, May 31 through June 2.
