Dietrich rallies big at Bridgeport, Port Royal and Lincoln double; Four All Star starts ahead
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
GETTYSBURG, Pa. (April 12, 2021) – Despite Mother Nature washing away his plans to visit Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, April 9, and BAPS Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 11, Dietrich’s extended week remained plenty eventful, as the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania-native successfully completed three feature starts over two days, advancing 29 positions in the process while acquiring two top-ten finishes.
Dietrich, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Bowhunters Superstore, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made, No. 48 sprint car, activated his recent stretch with a midweek visit to Bridgeport Speedway in Bridgeport, New Jersey, on Tuesday, April 6. Although forced to start 17th by way of heat race result, Dietrich was not deterred, eventually climbing nine positions to secure a top-ten in the form of an eighth-place finish.
Despite initial plans suggesting a visit to Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, April 10, Port Royal Speedway’s announcement to utilize an earlier start time ultimately led to Dietrich having the opportunity to participate in both of the Saturday programs. A non-stop feature at Port Royal propelled a quick turnaround for Dietrich, which allowed for enough time to commute to Lincoln to battle in the evening’s final heat race.
“Double D” went on to climb ten positions in the Pigeon Hills, finishing 11th after starting 21st. Just a few hours prior, Dietrich advanced from 14th to finish fourth at the Port Royal “Speed Palace.”
“That was fun,” Danny Dietrich said of this Port Royal and Lincoln Speedway double. “Not too often do we have the opportunity to pull that off. It wouldn’t be possible without my team. We’ve passed a lot of cars this season. I think it’s time to get this ‘48’ up front and get a few more wins, too.”
Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2021 campaign with four straight nights of competition with the All Star Circuit of Champions, set to join “America’s Series” during visits to Virginia Motor Speedway, Williams Grove Speedway, Port Royal Speedway, and Bedford Speedway on Thursday through Sunday, April 15-18. The four-race weekend will be accompanied with big paydays, as Virginia Motor Speedway’s Thursday Night Thunder event will award a $12,000 top prize, while Port Royal’s Keith Kauffman Classic will award $10,000. The visits to Williams Grove Speedway and Bedford Speedway will each pay $6,000.
