GETTYSBURG, Pa. (June 17, 2024) – It was an up and down week in the Buckeye State for Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing, but when the dust finally settled on Ohio Sprint Speedweek featuring FAST On Dirt, “Double-D” out of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, found himself with one victory and a pair of podiums, notching his Speedweek triumph at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, on Wednesday, June 12.

Dietrich, ace of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Derek Snyder & Self Made Racing, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Racer’s New & Used Parts Warehouse, No. 48 sprint car, led every lap in his Sharon performance, commencing A-Main action from the pole position after drawing the “1” in the evening’s frisbee draw.

Dietrich was less than a second from victory just three nights prior, finishing second at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio, on Sunday, June 9. In fact, the margin of victory was .001 seconds, getting his A-Main campaign underway from the inside of row four.

Other Ohio Sprint Speedweek highlights include finishing sixth at Muskingum County Speedway in Dresden, Ohio, on Thursday, June 13, and eighth at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, on Saturday, June 15.

“We wanted some better results overall, but it’s always great to get back to Ohio,” Dietrich said. “They have some pretty amazing fans out there and we appreciate all of the support night in and night out. To get another win at Sharon is pretty special, also. Derek Snyder was with us and for him to be a part of our victory is even more incredible.

“We’re going to enjoy a weekend off before PA Speedweek gets underway. We’ll be ready to go.”
