Dietrich consistent through Central PA; All Star invasion looms, Selinsgrove also ahead

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (August 23, 2021) – It was a consistent weekend in the Keystone State for Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing, eventually translating a pair of starts into a pair of top-ten scores, highlighting the weekend with an impressive rally from 12th to finish fourth at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, August 21. Dietrich’s Lincoln outcome nearly resulted in a podium, but a late-race caution on lap 26 negated a hard-fought three-way battle for second.

“Double-D” opened his weekend with a sixth-place score at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, August 20; the Gettysburg native started 10th.

“We have the speed and the ability to be better than where we finished, especially at Lincoln. We were right up there on Saturday, but sometimes things don’t fall your way, especially when you have to start that far back. We’ll put this behind us and look ahead to some big races this weekend,” Danny Dietrich expressed, driver of the Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Bowhunters Superstore, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made, Graver’s Garage, No. 48 sprint car. “We’re excited to join the All Stars on a few occasions, but we’re going to head to Selinsgrove on Saturday. We’ve been really strong there, and with Selinsgrove having a point fund, and with Sprint Car Unlimited having their own point fund for all of their broadcast races, we don’t want to miss the chance to make extra money. We’ll be back to finish the weekend with the All Stars at BAPS on Sunday.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will join the All Star Circuit of Champions on three occasions during the coming weekend, all of which activating with a Thursday night visit to Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania, on August 26. Dietrich’s All Star weekend will continue with the annual Jack Gunn Memorial at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, August 27. As years prior, the Jack Gunn will feature a pair of 20-lap main events each awarding a $4,000 top prize.

Stepping off of the All Star trail, Selinsgrove Speedway’s own Jack Gunn Memorial will fill Dietrich’s void on Saturday, August 28. The unsanctioned program will award a $5,000 top prize, as well as points toward Selinsgrove Speedway’s overall sprint car championship. Dietrich is a recent winner at the high speed half-mile, scoring the 75th Anniversary Race on July 20.

Dietrich will return to All Star Circuit of Champions competition on Sunday, August 29, with a visit to BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven. The Sunday night showstopper, awarding a $5,000 top prize, is dubbed the Johnny Mackison Clash.
