GETTYSBURG, Pa. (April 8, 2024) – It was an all-podium weekend in the Keystone State for “Double-D” Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing, not only capping things with an impressive charge from 12th to third at Lincoln Speedway on Sunday, but igniting the weekend with a victory at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” on Saturday, April 6. The win, a $6,000 triumph for the Gettysburg native, was accomplished from row six, utilizing a late race restart to steal command from Devon Borden.

As expressed, Dietrich, ace of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Cochrancars.com, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Self Made Racing, No. 48 sprint car, earned his Port Royal victory with short time remaining, capitalizing on a caution with only three circuits left. A perfect restart ensued, sliding by Borden entering turn one.

It was Port Royal Speedway’s first 410 sprint car program of the season.

“Hats off to the tracks for adjusting start times and days to allow for two to be completed. We love to see it and it really worked out for everyone,” Dietrich was quick to express. “It was a great weekend for us. I think we were good enough to win at Lincoln on Sunday, but it’s always easy to assume. Hopefully the weather calms down and gives us the opportunity to race a full weekend without interruptions.”
