Dietrich 13th to fourth in Lou Blaney Memorial; Brad Doty Classic and Kings Royal ahead

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (July 12, 2021) – “Double-D” Danny Dietrich has certainly found his rhythm in the Buckeye State, once again translating an All Star Circuit of Champions start into a top-five outcome, this time during Sharon Speedway’s 13th Annual Lou Blaney Memorial on Saturday, July 10. To make matters more impressive, Dietrich’s top-five commenced from row seven, using the 30-lap contest to power ahead from 13th to finish fourth; there were 43 cars on hand for the $8,000-to-win program.

Certainly no stranger to the area, Dietrich is a recent All Star Circuit of Champions winner at the Sharon Speedway short track, leading every circuit of the 30-lap Ohio Sprint Speedweek contest to score a $6,000 payday. Although it was a first-ever Ohio Sprint Speedweek victory for the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania-native, a first-ever Series triumph in Ohio, period, the win bumped Dietrich’s career total to 14 with America’s Series, many of which occurring in the Empire State.

“We really do love racing in Ohio, and we’ve decided to stay a little while longer,” Danny Dietrich said, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Bowhunters Superstore, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made, No. 48 sprint car. “It was a last minute decision, for the most part, but we’re going to stick around and race the Brad Doty Classic at Attica, followed by all four nights of the Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway. I’m excited for the opportunity and I certainly wouldn’t be in this position without my crew, and of course, Gary Kauffman. He gives us what we need to be competitive and I am very much grateful for that.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2021 campaign with five World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series starts in five days, all of which activating with the $10,000-to-win Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park on Tuesday, July 13.

A short, two-hour jaunt south out of Attica will lead Dietrich to his next destination, set to spend four days at the World’s Greatest Dirt Track, Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on Wednesday through Saturday, July 14-17.

Highlighted with a pair of six-figure paydays, Eldora Speedway’s four-day blockbuster will feature two, separate $175,000-to-win Kings Royals, the 38th Annual Kings Royal on Thursday and the 37th Annual Kings Royal on Saturday, with a pair of preliminary events, Jokers Wild on Wednesday and the Knight Before the Kings Royal on Friday, stacked in between. Each of the preliminary programs will award $10,000 paydays, creating a $380,000 potential for the five-day World of Outlaws stretch.
