Danny Dietrich shares podium with brother at Lincoln; Four races on tap beginning Tuesday at Bridgeport

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (April 5, 2021) – It was nearly an all-Dietrich podium on Saturday evening at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway, as “Double-D” Danny Dietrich secured his sixth top-five result of the season with a runner-up finish to his brother, Billy Dietrich, during a $4,000-to-win barnburner. Action-packed, to say the least, the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania-native lined up third on the feature grid, faded slightly to fifth, then made a final lunge for the top spot in the final circuits. Close, but not close enough, the Dietrich brothers were separated by just over a second.

“That was fun. Hats off to Bill (Dietrich) and his entire team. Anytime you have the opportunity to race with family is pretty special. We’ll take this second place finish and move on to the next one,” Danny Dietrich said, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Bowhunters Superstore, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made, Graver’s Garage, Racer’s New & Used Parts Warehouse, East Park Automotive Inc., RV 4 Wheel Drive & Performance Automotive Inc., Bollinger Construction, Blud Lubricants, No. 48 sprint car. “We have a big weekend ahead of us, so we’ll button up things tonight and get things rolling at Bridgeport tomorrow.”

After securing second with eight to go, Dietrich was on the move, desperately working every inch of Lincoln Speedway real estate to get by his older brother. A slider with less than five to go proved to be Dietrich’s last-ditch effort, but the effort was not enough, as Billy drove on to secure a third-ever win in the Pigeon Hills.

Danny Dietrich kicked-off his showing at Lincoln with a heat race victory.

Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2021 campaign with a four-race stint through New Jersey and Pennsylvania during the coming week, beginning with a $5,000-to-win showstopper at Bridgeport Speedway in Bridgeport, New Jersey, on Tuesday, April 6. Dietrich’s schedule will resume on Friday, April 9, with the first of three consecutive events; Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, followed by his return to Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, then BAPS Motor Speedway to conclude action on Sunday.

A one-time winner thus far in 2021, Dietrich will enter Bridgeport’s gates with a load of confidence, as the 2020 Central PA Sprint Cars Point Series champion secured a World of Outlaws victory at Bridgeport in 2019.
