Danny Dietrich scores three consecutive podiums in Posse Country; Tuscarora 50 on upcoming hitlist
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
GETTYSBURG, Pa. (September 6, 2022) – “Double-D” Danny Dietrich did everything he could to sweep the weekend, but unfortunately, the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, native was forced to chase instead of lead, eventually capping the four-race turned three-race weekend with three consecutive podium runs highlighted with back-to-back runner-up finishes during starts at Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway on Friday and Saturday, September 2-3.
Impressive enough, Dietrich, ace of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made Racing, No. 48 sprint car, rallied in each of his podium outcomes, first battling ahead from fifth at The Grove, then displaying a hard-fought pounce from ninth at the “Speed Palace.” Port’s main event went caution free, forced to battle by “Blackjack” Brian Brown and New Jersey’s Justin Whittall during his Fair Opener podium pursuit.
Dietrich’s final Labor Day weekend start occurred at Selinsgrove Speedway on Sunday, September 4; he finished third after starting fourth on the A-Main starting grid.
“We wanted to win every night out, but to be in the hunt says enough,” Dietrich expressed, a 13-time winner in 2022. “There’s plenty of money for the taking this weekend at Port Royal. We’re going to do everything we can to make some noise.”
ON DECK:
Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2022 campaign with the three-day Tuscarora blockbuster at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. Chasing a total weekend winner’s share equaling $73,000, the “Speed Palace” tripleheader will ignite with an $8,000 preliminary on Thursday, September 8, followed by the $10,000-to-win Night Before the Tuscarora 50 on Friday, September 9. Tuscarora weekend will conclude with the 55th running of the 50-lap Tuscarora 50, awarding $55,000, on Saturday, September 10.
