Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing conclude 2022 campaign on podium

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (November 14, 2022) – Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing capped their 2022 season in typical Dietrich fashion, and that was near the front in BAPS Motor Speedway’s Final Showdown on Saturday, November 12. “Double D,” who finished second in Pennsylvania’s final winged sprint car program of the year, will head into the offseason on top of a stellar shat sheet, not only accomplishing a whopping 69 top-ten finishes, but recording 14 victories in the process, his most recent in Lincoln Speedway’s Night of Champions in mid-October.

“Hats off to this entire team, including Gary Kauffman…he’s what makes all of this possible and I certainly wouldn’t be in this position without him,” said Danny Dietrich, ace of the Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made Racing, No. 48 sprint car. “Also, a huge thanks to my guys. We ran a pretty intense schedule this season and they busted their butts every step of the way. I appreciate their hard work and will continue to do so.”

In addition to victories at Lincoln Speedway, six in total including the aforementioned Night of Champions, Double-D has acquired triumphs at Williams Grove Speedway, Attica Raceway Park, Limaland Motorsports Park, Selinsgrove Speedway, Port Royal Speedway, and BAPS Motor Speedway. Although every victory is a highlight in some respect, key wins include the Steve Smith Tribute at Lincoln Speedway worth $19,000, All Star Ohio Sprint Speedweek wins at Attica Raceway Park and Limaland Motorsports Park, the Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek finale victory at Selinsgrove Speedway worth $10,099, and the Jack Gunn Memorial All Star sweep at Williams Grove Speedway; the sweep earned Dietrich $8,000.

“We were definitely in position to win more races than we did, but it’s tough to be disappointed with 14, especially with the level of competition we were up against,” added Dietrich. “To the fans who stood by our side during the ups and downs, thank you so much. You allow us to get up and down the highway. We wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your dedication in filling the stands.”
