Danny Dietrich impressive in All Star starts at Williams Grove and Port Royal; The Grove, Lincoln, BAPS all ahead
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
GETTYSBURG, Pa. (April 25, 2022) – Although not victorious with the All Star Circuit of Champions during their recent invasion of Central Pennsylvania, “Double-D” Danny Dietrich was impressive in his own right, nailing down a podium score in Williams Grove Speedway’s Tommy Hinnershitz Classic on Friday, April 23, all before rallying big in Port Royal’s Keith Kauffman Classic the following evening. In all, Dietrich advanced 18 feature positions between the pair headlined with a 14-position jump at Port Royal that earned the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, native the evening’s Hard Charger Award for advancing the most feature positions.
Dietrich, driver of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made Racing, No. 48 sprint car, was forced to start deep in Port’s Keith Kauffman Classic A-Main after missing a transfer position during his respective heat race. A B-Main victory would place Dietrich 21st on the feature grid, eventually powering ahead to seventh.
At Williams Grove, Dietrich finished third after starting seventh, sneaking by Dillsburg’s Anthony Macri on the final circuit.
“I felt really good all weekend. I think we were good enough to win both races, but starting deep, especially at Port Royal, really put us in a hole. Regardless, to do what we did says a lot and I’m proud of what we accomplished. We’ll get another try with the All Stars soon enough,” Dietrich explained. “A big thanks to all of the fans for coming out and supporting the races this weekend. They are the real reason we are able to do this.”
