Dietrich and GKR seek Tuscarora 50 title

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (September 3, 2024) – Port Royal Speedway’s Labor Day Classic ended in heartbreak for Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing fans, and although the team salvaged for a top-ten score – tenth officially in the 25-lapper – their winning potential was obvious, racing for the lead before a cut tire ended hope for triumph.

Despite the fact, “Double-D” is eager for redemption, set to tackle the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” once again in the upcoming Tuscarora 50 Weekend set for Thursday through Saturday, September 5-7. Saturday’s finale will award a $57,000 top prize.

No stranger to big money at the Juniata County Fairgrounds, Danny Dietrich is the reigning Bob Weikert Memorial champion worth $76,500.

“I think that race was ours to win,” Dietrich said of the Labor Day Classic. “I feel like we’ve had a lot of instances like that this year. We’ll look for some redemption this weekend.”
