GETTYSBURG, Pa. (June 6, 2022) – Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing put together a monster campaign through the Keystone State during the recent weekend, winning events at Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway before finishing second during a Sunday night stop at Path Valley Speedway. Dietrich’s wins, combining for $24,500 including a $19,000 paday for his Lincoln triumph on Saturday, June 4, bumped his season victory total to six, five of which occurring at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway.
Dietrich, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made Racing, No. 48 sprint car, kicked-off his weekend with a win at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, June 3, leading all 25 circuits for his first triumph at the Speedway since July 2020. The Williams Grove win earned “Double-D” a $5,500 prize.
Dietrich’s aforementioned Lincoln Speedway win, occurring during the Steve Smith Tribute on June 4, was accomplished from the outside of row three, powering forward to take command from Anthony Macri with 15 circuits remaining. A slider through turns three and four sealed the deal, slipping under Macri when the Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, native hopped the turn four cushion.
“That was fun,” Dietrich explained. “That was a huge weekend for our team and a great way to activate our busy June schedule. Gary, my crew, the fans…there are so many pieces to the puzzle and I wouldn’t be in this position without them.”
Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2022 campaign with a visit to Big Diamond Speedway in Minersville, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, June 7.
The team will then join the All Star Circuit of Champions for Cometic Gasket Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Hercules Tires, which will kick-off on Friday, June 10, with the Bert and Brigitte Emick Classic at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. Ohio Sprint Speedweek will continue the next eight nights with stops at Fremont Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12, Wayne County Speedway on Monday, June 13, Sharon Speedway on Tuesday, June 14, Atomic Speedway on Wednesday, June 15, Waynesfield Raceway Park on Thursday, June 16, Limaland Motorsports Park on Friday, June 17, and Portsmouth Raceway Park on Saturday, June 18. Saturday’s finale, the Dean Knittel Memorial, will award $20,554-to-win.
