Danny Dietrich scores first win of 2021 during Lincoln visit; Williams Grove and Port on upcoming agenda

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (March 15, 2021) – The third try was certainly the charm for Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing, as the defending Central PA Sprint Car Points Series champions officially etched the first mark in the 2021 win column, doing so with a victory at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, March 13. The 30-lap triumph, during Dietrich’s third start of the year in the Pigeon Hills, was accomplished from row eight, taking command for the first time with five circuits remaining and securing a $4,000 top prize in the process.

Although unable to match his success from one night prior, Dietrich’s first start of the year at Williams Grove Speedway was impressive in its own right, eventually climbing ahead six spots to secure a tenth-place finish after starting 16th on the main event grid. Williams Grove Speedway’s season opener welcomed 32 cars and awarded a $5,500 top prize.

“That’s the weekend that we needed,” Danny Dietrich said, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made, No. 48 sprint car. “Hats off to this whole team. The first win is always the toughest one to get, but to finally get it done feels pretty good. Momentum plays a big part in this sport, so we’re going to do everything we can to harness that momentum and work toward another win next weekend.”

Dietrich’s Lincoln win bumped his career total at the Abbottstown oval to 55. Not to mention, “Double D” was also Saturday’s hard charger for advancing the most feature positions.

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2021 campaign with another action-packed weekend in the Keystone State, this time focusing on starts at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, March 19, and Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, March 20.
