Dietrich earns back-to-back top-five finishes in starts at Lincoln and Port Royal; Lincoln and Williams Grove on deck
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
GETTYSBURG, Pa. (March 7, 2022) – “Double-D” Danny Dietrich captivated audiences not once, but twice this weekend in Central Pennsylvania, ultimately cashing in for back-to-back fourth-place finishes in starts at Lincoln Speedway and Port Royal Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, March 5-6. Rapidly padding the stat sheet, the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, native is now three for three in his Posse Country top-five column this season, kicking it all off with a fourth-place rally in Lincoln’s season-opening Icebreaker 30 on February 27.
If his overall performances were not impressive enough, Dietrich, driver of Gary Kauffman’s Gary Kauffman Racing, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made Racing, No. 48 sprint car, advanced a grand total of 18 feature positions during his two-day campaign, climbing 12 spots in Lincoln’s second program of the year, followed by a six spot climb in Port Royal’s 80th annual season opener on Sunday afternoon.
Dietrich started 16th at Lincoln after finishing third in his respective heat race. At Port Royal, “Double-D” lined up tenth by way of feature redraw; he won the fifth and final heat race.
“What a weekend for this team. We want wins…we just need to figure out how to draw better. That’s been our downfall in most scenarios this season, but we’ll get there. The speed is there. We just need to capitalize and start a little closer to the front,” Danny Dietrich said, a six-time feature winner in 2021. “Hats off to this entire team, and hats off to Gary Kauffman for allowing us to come out here and do this stuff every weekend. We have some great momentum on our side right now, but it’s up to us to keep this momentum going.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2022 campaign with another Pennsylvania doubleheader on Saturday and Sunday, March 12-13.
